GLOBAL ELECTIONS
Our Report: Microsoft is expanding its suite of Content Integrity tools—which include the ability to add “content credential” labels to media—to EU political parties, party campaigners, and worldwide news outlets to combat the spread of deceptive AI-generated content.
🔑 Key Points:
Attaching “content credentials” to their media enables campaigners and newsrooms to confirm if their content has been generated with AI and if it’s been edited since it was created.
This means the public can trust that the content they’re seeing is legitimate, has been released by the newsroom, campaign, or political party, and is not a deep fake.
Currently in private preview, these tools (already available to US political campaigns), give organizations control over content, combatting the risks of AI-generated content and deepfakes.
🤨 Why you should care: Microsoft has expanded access to its Content Integrity tools so political campaigners, news organizations, and election officials can verify their content authenticity and help “voters understand the information they encounter online” ahead of global elections.

FEATURES
🤫 Google secretly working on new Gemini features
A “Live Prompts” setting within Google’s Gemini app has been spotted, and while its functionality is unknown, it's expected to give users a new way to execute tasks or prompts.
A “List of Live prompts” has also been uncovered, suggesting that Gemini users will also soon get the ability to create multiple automated actions or reminders through prompts.
This development means users could schedule a morning routine prompt for 7am, and have Gemini execute a chain of actions like summarizing news and turning on lights.
EXPANSION
🥷 Microsoft poaches Ex-Meta exec
Following the hiring of Google’s DeepMind co-founder (Mustafa Suleyman) Microsoft has hired ex-Meta exec, Jason Tyler, who will join as Corporate VP of its AI supercomputing team.
Taylor worked at Meta for 13 years as VP of Infrastructure and, according to Microsoft CTO–Kevin Scott, will help “build the next set of systems to push the frontier of AI forward.”
Taylor heading up the AI supercomputing team coincides with Microsoft’s rumored plans to build a $100B supercomputer (“Stargate”) to keep up with advancements in AI.
