STOCK MARKETS
⚖️ AI and tech stocks were mixed during Thursday’s trading session. TSMC was the out-performer, up 1.5% and GOOG was the main under-performer, down close to 5%. This was after reports were released that Google may have to unwind its $2B injection into Anthropic due to a new antitrust case. Learn more.

VOICE ASSISTANTS
Our Report: According to internal sources, Apple is developing a new Siri (codenamed ‘LLM Siri’) that will be powered by Apple Large Language Models (LLMs) which will enable it to handle more complex requests, quicker, and allow users to have human-like, two-way conversations with the virtual assistant, bringing it up to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google's Gemini Live standards.
🔑 Key Points:
The revamped Siri will (reportedly) work similarly to OpenAI’s ‘Advanced Voice Mode’, will have more precise control of third-party apps, and will leverage Apple Intelligence to summarize and write text.
It’s rumored that Apple loyalists could get a preview of the new Siri via Apple's upcoming iOS 19 updates (expected sometime next year), but the feature will not be fully available to public users until Spring 2026.
All this comes after Apple said, in June, that AI was “the start of a new era” for Siri, Apple’s Software VP hinted that AI Siri would beat ChatGPT, and a job post mentioning “conversational assistant tech” was found.
🤔 Why you should care: The new ‘more conversational’ Siri is no doubt an attempt by Apple to catch its rivals up, as although it debuted its Apple Intelligence platform and features earlier this year (AI-powered Siri upgrades included a glowing interface and text-based commands, with the ChatGPT integration still in beta, after being released last month, as part of the iOS 18.2 update), Apple has been slow to the AI table while companies like Google and OpenAI have charged, full steam ahead with OpenAI’s Advanced Voice feature and Google’s Gemini Live, for example.

ADVANCEMENTS
Our Report: Rabbit, the makers of R1 (the handheld, orange, AI personal assistant device) has released a new feature—Teach Mode—that enables users to “teach” the device to perform specific tasks, like buying groceries or posting on social media.
🔑 Key Points:
Users can create a lesson, via the ‘Rabbithole’ web interface, by describing a task, then recording how to perform it, and the software will translate each recorded interaction into instructions for R1 to follow.
Before launch, Rabbit worked with 20 testers who created 400 ‘lessons’, but although the feature can be used across “all websites,” Rabbit warned that users may have issues with sites that use CAPTCHAs.
No coding skills are needed to use the feature, but Rabbit has acknowledged that its “output can be unpredictable,” and it can take time for it to work through a ’lesson’ as it’s still in an “experimental” phase.
🤔 Why you should care: This comes after the R1 was blasted by critics, when it launched in January, for being a clunky, “basically useless” prototype, rather than a finished product, which prompted Rabbit CEO, Jesse Lyu, to release over 20 new updates, including a Large-Action-Model (LAM) that can navigate websites autonomously and a customizable feature that allows users to change their interface with AI prompts.

Friday’s Prompt: How to create an effective cybersecurity strategy using ChatGPT
Type this prompt into ChatGPT:
I want you to be a cyber security specialist. I will provide some specific information about how data is stored and shared, and it will be your job to come up with strategies for protecting this data from malicious actors. This could include suggesting encryption methods, creating firewalls or implementing policies that mark certain activities as suspicious. My first demand is: "I need help developing an effective cybersecurity strategy for my company."
Results: After typing this prompt, you will get a cybersecurity strategy that will protect stored and shared data from malicious actors.

AI SEARCH
After the release of ChatGPT Search last month, OpenAI is reportedly building a web-based browser, that will incorporate ChatGPT to deliver more refined results, putting it directly in competition with Google.
While the browser is nowhere near ready to launch, OpenAI has already had conversations with developers, including Conde Nast, Redfin, Eventbrite, and Priceline, to design prototypes.
This comes as Google recently faced a blow from the US Department of Justice who has argued that it should sell its Chrome browser to stop the monopoly it has over the online search market.
