E-learning platform Learn It Live was growing quickly—but rapid growth meant that operational papercuts became limiting bottlenecks.

Adam Shoqar, the VP of innovation, was handling a surge in customer support tickets, with his team stuck dealing with commonplace questions instead of the complex technical issues that utilized their expertise.

Learn It Live's customer base is a mix of B2B and B2C learners, many of whom are not tech-savvy at all. Rather than searching for an answer to any given issue, they would simply raise a support ticket.

Adam started looking for a solution and found Zappier’s no-code chatbot builder. In under an hour, Adam built a customized chatbot and embedded it across Learn It Live's sites.

He started by loading the most common support questions and answers into Zapier Tables to serve as the chatbot's knowledge base. Then he thoroughly tested the bot, even throwing confusing and poorly written queries at it. "The chatbot came up with good suggestions," Adam reported.

To ensure quality, he set up triggers allowing users to indicate if they were satisfied with the bot's responses. Unhappy users automatically generated a notification to the support team's Slack channel for follow-up.

The results were game-changing: a 40% reduction in support tickets. Simple issues could now be solved in real-time by the chatbot, while the support team could dedicate proper attention to more complex issues.
